Delete your account
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Draft. This page has not been reviewed yet and may change before GrammarDeck launches.
You can delete your GrammarDeck account and its data at any time, in the app or on the website. It is free and takes a minute.
1. Store subscriptions: cancel them first
Bought in the App Store or Google Play? Cancel it in your phone's subscription settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. A subscription bought on this website is cancelled for you when you delete the account.
2. Delete it yourself
- In the app: open GrammarDeck, go to the Settings tab, tap Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
- On the website: open the account page, sign in, click Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
The account is deleted at once. Any Pro time or credits left are lost and not refunded. This can't be undone.
Can't sign in? Email privacy@grammardeck.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my GrammarDeck account”. We may ask you to confirm, so that nobody else can delete your account. We delete it within 30 days and email you when it is done.
3. What we delete
- Your account: email address, name and account ID
- Your plan, your credit counts and your settings (such as the Default tone)
- Your website sessions and app sign-in links
- Analytics and crash reports linked to your account ID, as our providers allow
4. What we keep
- Purchase records (plan, price, dates, payment reference), for as long as Indian tax law requires, up to 8 years.
- Server logs, which do not contain your text and are deleted within 30 days anyway.
We never had your text to begin with: it is not stored after a check.
5. Sign out of the apps
The device you delete from signs out by itself. Sign out of GrammarDeck on your other devices and uninstall the apps and keyboards if you no longer want them. See our privacy policy for your other rights.
